Nema Foundation for Humanitarian Work and Development distributed emergency cash assistance to the affected families in Al-Mahra Governorate on Tuesday, October 31st, in response to the devastating cyclone “Tej” that caused immense destruction in the region.
The assistance is part of a cash aid project aimed at protection, serving as a vital component of the efforts to alleviate the suffering of the affected families and secure their basic needs.
The cash assistance covered approximately 300 affected families, equivalent to 2,100 individuals, in the districts of Al-Ghaydah and Haswayn. Cyclone “Tej” struck Al-Mahra Governorate last week, resulting in loss of lives, extensive damage to infrastructure, public and private properties, and the displacement of thousands of residents, specifically in the districts of Al-Ghaydah and Haswayn.
